Endeavor Entrepreneurs Highlighted Among Top Tech Founders in Bestseller “Startup Arabia”

Startup Arabia: Stories and Advice from the Top Tech Entrepreneurs in the Arab World, a newly-released bestseller by Amir Hegazi features seven Endeavor Entrepreneurs from three countries. The book, which aims to inspire and educate the next generation of innovators by sharing stories from a selection of the MENA region’s most successful entrepreneurs, highlights the successes and local impact of Idriss Al Rifai (Fetchr, UAE), Mona Ataya (Mumzworld, UAE), Amir Barsoum (Vezeeta, Egypt), Delphine Edde (Diwanee, Lebanon), Elie Habib (Anghami, Lebanon), Mai Medhat (Eventtus, Egypt), and Mudassir Sheikha (Careem, UAE).

“Anyone can read and watch videos about top Silicon Valley entrepreneurs, like Steve Jobs, Mark Zuckerberg, and Elon Musk,” said Hegazi in an interview published on Magnitt. “But are they really relating to and connecting with them? Generally speaking, local success stories from local companies and local entrepreneurs will always resonate better with local population.”

The Middle East and North African region has become one of the most vibrant and booming tech hubs in the world, and entrepreneurs are radicalizing the business landscape. Through a collection of in-depth interviews, Hegazi shares the details from the early days of the startup, through their growth process. He touches on how these entrepreneurs stumbled upon their initial ideas, challenges they faced, lessons they learned along the way, and advice they have for aspiring entrepreneurs.
